The production and manufacturing academy

Overview of the Program

Increasingly, advanced manufacturing companies are turning to internship to develop, grow, and retain a skilled workforce. Internship programs combine on-the-job learning with related instruction in technical areas to produce qualified, highly-productive employees for careers requiring precision skills. Internship training ensures workers have the knowledge and competencies companies need for today and tomorrow.

The Production and Manufacturing Academy is designed for incoming high school juniors and seniors to gain exposure to the world of production, engineering, manufacturing and related fields. Our program provides current students with hands-on experience in a work setting to learn what it’s like from product creation, design, building, production, sales and customer interactions.

By combining classroom instruction with real-world experience, participants will gain hands-on experience in a live workplace setting that will prove valuable for years to come. Whether you’re interested in engineering, designing, 3D printing, technology, welding, machining, production, management, or are not yet sure, this is a great opportunity to jump in and experience manufacturing and production first hand.

The program runs for 4-weeks – July 8th through August 2nd – from 8:30 – 4:30 daily. Students are expected to attend all sessions. Upon completion and 100% attendance, a certificate will be awarded and a stipend presented to all successful participants.
